Fictional Characters Dinner Party Guest List
If we were having a dinner party and could only invite fictional characters, our guest list would look a little something like this...
#01
Willy Wonka
(As it is proper etiquette to bring a gift to the host's home, we naturally assume he’ll bring mass amounts of Wonka Bars and Everlasting Gobstoppers.)
#02
Huck Finn
(He can sit at the children's table and narrate as he peer pressures the other children into random acts of mischief.)
#03
Big Brother
(He's always watching anyway.)
#04
Jay Gatsby
(We’re hoping he’ll take us for a country ride in his yellow car.)
#05
Eliza Doolittle
(No one at the party will know she's not a duchess!)
#06
The Boxcar Children
(They live in a boxcar for God's sake. We couldn't just leave them off the list.)
#07
Boo Radley
(We know it's unlikely he'll come - being a recluse and all... but we've heard once you get a drink or two in him, he's the life of the party.)
#08
The Babysitter’s Club
(Yes, all of them. We can't have Huck Finn stealing anything while we're not looking now can we?)
#09
Holden Caulfield
(He pioneered the “Emo” movement for angst-ridden teens. We can't wait to sit there and watch him refuse to eat while he wipes away many, single tears with his band sweater.)
#10
Franny Glass
(Zooey is not invited though, so please do not mention it to him.)
#11
Wilbur the Pig
(Who wouldn't want Zuckerman’s Famous Pig at their fictional dinner party? Not only can talk, but he also serves the purpose of making all the vegetarians feel superior.)
#12
Harry Potter
(We’re all a little tired of hearing about his Quiddich victories, but he's great for party tricks.)
#13
The Man in the Yellow Hat
(We didn’t invite George though. It’s a serious dinner party. No monkey business.)
#14
Jane Eyre
(We're worried she won't leave that dour attitude and tendency to over-describe at home, but she’s a “classic” so we have to invite her.)
#15
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern
(It's said they drove Hamlet crazy with their incessant, witty banter. We're hoping they'll have the same effect on Big Brother. Muhuhahahaha.)
#16
The Grinch
(He will be seated between Ms. Eyre and Holden Caulfield, as they are the only ones who will tolerate his depressing manner.)
#17
The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe
(All three will be making an appearance. We didn’t want the Wardrobe to come because it’s extremely dull, but they're a package deal. Plus, the Witch always brings Turkish Delights.)
