9/11 Ads That May or May Not Be in the Pipeline

Gawker has this ridiculous post about how 9/11 ads are a bad idea - with the latest offender being SABC Radio. Whine, whine, whine. We think they're brilliant. Plus, if we don't use iconic images of death and mass murder to shill radio and green living initiatives, then the terrorists have won! So... who can we expect to see a 9/11 tie-in from next?

#01

Coke

(Always the real thing. Always 9/11.)

#02

7/11

(Maybe a gleaming CGI building shaped like a 7 next to the twin towers?)

#03

Smokey the Bear

(Only you can prevent terrorist attacks in urban areas.)

#04

John McCain

(If you liked 9/11, you'll love our Iran policy!)

#05

Absolut Terror

(Tower shaped like the bottle? Plane shaped like a bottle? We're surprised we haven't seen this yet, frankly.)

#06

McDonald's

(After a day like that, you really, really deserve a break today.)

#07

Energizer

(Shots of the World Trade Center crumbling into dust. Cut to: Still going, nothing outlasts...)

#08

Nike

(Just do it. No, we have no idea how this relates to 9/11, but we've never understood what that slogan ever meant anyway.)

#09

Avis

(Picture of NY firefighter with "We try harder." No, it's not crass. It's genius!)

#10

M&Ms

(Melts in your mouth, not in a collision with a 747.)
